Scrap Kit by Bea Creations; Template by Mayk's Creations; Tube by Terry This tutorial was created on July 14, 2009 and is the property of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie. Please do not remove this tutorial, in whole or in part, to add to another website unless you have permission from me to do so. This tutorial was created using Psp vs 8, but I see no reason why it cannot be created using other versions of Psp. A BIG thank you to Bea Creations for making her gorgeous creations available to us. For this tutorial you will need the following: Paint Shop Pro (trial version) Angela Scrap Kit here Template 4 here Tube and font of choice Okay, let's get started on our tag!
1. Open your supplies in Psp and minimize all but the template to your Psp workspace. Shift+D to make a copy of the template. Close out the original template so that you will have it for future use. On the duplicated template, remove the top copyright layer from the template. Image/Rotate. Rotate the template clockwise by 90 degrees. Activate the Medium Bar layer of the template. Selections/Select All. Selections/Float. Selections/Defloat. Restore the paper1 and go to Edit/Copy. Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Selections/Select None. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the settings shown below. Vertical 2; Horizontal 0; Opacity 75; Blur 6; Color Black
2. Activate the Big Bar layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the paper8 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the paper8 over the selection. Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on the keyboard. Selections/Select None. Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 1. 3. Activate the Small Bar layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the paper3 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the paper3 over the selection and go to Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on the keyboard. Selections/Select None. Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 1. 4. Activate the Dotted Line layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the paper13 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Selections/Select None. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the settings shown below. Vertical 0; Horizontal 0; Opacity 50; Blur 3; Color Black
5. Activate the Small Circle layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. The paper13 should still be on your clipboard. Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Apply the same drop shadow effect as Step 4 EXCEPT change the blur to 2. Selections/Select None. Activate the Medium Circle layer of the template. Follow the same steps as used for the Small Circle EXCEPT change to paper15. Activate the Big Circle layer and follow the same steps as used for the Small Circle. 6. Activate the Photo2 layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the paper5 and go to Edit/Copy. Back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Selections/Select None. Activate the Frame2 layer (I left the frame black) and go to Layers/Merge/Merge Down. Apply a drop shadow effect to the frame using the same settings as used in Step 1. Follow the same steps for the Photo1 layer and the Frame1 layer. 7. Restore the tube you will be using for your tag and go to Edit/Copy. Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize your tube if needed. Position tube as shown in header tag; apply a drop shadow effect to the tube using the same settings as used in Step 1 EXCEPT change the blur to 10. 8. Restore the tag2 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the tag by 65% for a total of two (2) times. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the tag on the bottom left corner of the Frame1. Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 1. Image/Rotate. Rotate the tag by 20 degrees to the right.
9. Restore the Flower18 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the Flower18 by 50%; resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the flower on the right side of the tag as shown on the header tag. Apply the same drop shadow effect to the flower as used in Step 1. Layers/Duplicate. Image/Mirror. Drag the duplicated flower layer under the tag layer so that the bow covers the bottom of the flowers. 10. Restore the Butterfly1 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Mirror. Image/Resize. Resize the butterfly by 75% for a total of one (1) time and by 65% for a total of one (1) time. Position the butterfly on top of the tag ribbon (see header tag). Apply a drop shadow effect to the butterfly using the same settings as used in Step 1. 11. Restore the Heart3 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the heart by 50% for a total of two (2) times. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Apply a drop shadow effect to the heart using the same settings as used in Step 1. Position the heart at the top right corner of the Big Bar layer (see header tag). Layers/Duplicate. Image/Mirror. This heart will be positioned on the top left corner of the Big Bar layer. Layers/Duplicate. Position this heart on the bottom left corner of the Big Bar layer. Layers/Duplicate. Image/Mirror. 12. Restore the Flower17 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize by 65% one (1) time and by 75% one (1) time. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Apply a drop shadow effect using the same settings as used in Step 1. Position at the bottom of the template between the hearts as shown on header tag. Add some text to your tag. Add your watermark or name to the tag. Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Crop away any excess white space around your tag and resize if needed. Save tag in desired format.
