Beautiful Scrap Kit by Bel Vidotti; Tube by Luz Cristina
This tutorial was created on April 6, 2009 and is the property of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie. Please do not remove this tutorial, in whole or in part, from my site to add to another site unless you have permission from me to do so. This tutorial was created using Psp vs 9. FOR THIS TUTORIAL YOU WILL NEED: Paint Shop Pro (any version) Beautiful Scrap Kit (click on Scrap Kits; download Beautiful kit) Supplies here (Mask by HF; if this is yours, let me know so I can give credit for) Xenofex 1 Tube of choice Font of choice
Okay, let's get started on our tag! 1. Open your supplies in Psp and minimize all but the paper09. Layers/Promote Background to Layer. Layers/New Mask Layer/From Image. Select the mask11HF from the drop box under the Source Window. Source luminance and Invert mask data is checked. Layers/Merge/Merge Group.
2. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the settings shown below. Vertical 2; Horizontal 0; Opacity 80; Blur 5; Color Black
3. Image/Resize. Resize the mask image by 85%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Activate the Selection Tool (Type Circle; Feather 0; Anti-alias) and, starting at points 400/400; draw a circle around the mask image (see header tag for how I made my circle). Layers/New Raster Layer. Flood fill the selection with the color #000000 (black). Selections/Modify/Contract by 2 pixels. Restore the paper02 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Apply a drop shadow effect to the circle using the same settings as used in Step 2 EXCEPT change the vertical setting to 0. Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom. 4. Restore the beautifulbeltext and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the text on the top part of the mask as shown in the header tag above. Text layer should be on Multiply. 5. Restore the tube you will be using on your tag and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize your tube if needed. Position your tube as shown in the header tag or in desired position. Apply a drop shadow effect to the tube using the same settings as in Step 3 EXCEPT change the blur to 11. 6. Restore the butterfly03 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the butterfly by 35%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 3 EXCEPT change the blur to 6. Adjust/Hue and Saturation/Colorize using the settings shown below. Hue 15; Saturation 71
7. Position the butterfly tube as shown in header tag at top of the page. Layers/Merge/Merge Visible Image/Resize. Resize the tag by 85%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Restore the paper09 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the paper by 80%. All layers is not checked; bicubic resize type is used. Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom. Image/Rotate. Rotate the paper by 10 degrees to the right. Effects/Plugin Filters/Xenofex 1/Stain using the settings shown below. Edge Width 20; Irregularity 30; Internal Opacity 10; Stain Color #18120C
8. Apply a drop shadow effect to the paper using the same settings as used in Step 6. Restore the paper01 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the paper01 by 80%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Layers/New Raster Layer. Set your foreground color to #A07560. Using a brush/brushes of choice, apply your brush to the new raster layer using the foreground color. I used a text brush on mine. When you are finished applying the brush effects to the layer, go to Layers/Merge/Merge Down. Image/Rotate. Rotate this paper by 10 degrees to the left. Apply same drop shadow effect to this paper as used in Step 6. 9. Restore the bow03 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the bow by 40%. All layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the bow as shown in the header tag at the top of the page. Apply a drop shadow effect using the same settings as used in Step 6. 10. Layers/New Raster Layer. Flood fill this layer with the color #FFFFFF. Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom. Restore the beautifulbel_brushtextbkg and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. This layer will go between the tag image and the white background. Add whatever text or watermark you want to add to your tag. Layers/Merge/Merge (flatten). Resize your tag if needed, and save in desired format.
