Big Blooms Mini Kit by ShelBelle Scraps; Tube by Magie
This tutorial was created on June 25, 2009 and is the sole property of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie. Please do not remove this tutorial, in whole or in part, from my site to add to another website unless you have permission from me to do so. This tutorial was created using Psp 8, but I see no reason why you cannot create it using other versions of Psp. FOR THIS TUTORIAL YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING: Paint Shop Pro (trial version) Big Blooms Mini Kit here (click on Freebies link) Big blooms supplies here Tube and Font of choice Okay, let's get started on our tag!! You will need to resize the following papers - paper01, paper04, paper05, paper08, and paper12 I resized my papers to 675w x675h 1. Open your supplies in Psp and minimize to your Psp workspace for now. Open a new image 600w x 600h transparent background. Activate the Selection Tool using the settings shown below. Selection type Rounded Rectangle; Feather 0; Anti-alias 2. Draw out a rectangle shape on your new image. Restore the paper12 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Selections/Modify/Contract by 3 pixels. Restore the paper05 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Selections/Select None. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the following settings: Horizontal -1; Vertical 2; Opacity 70; Blur 10
3. Activate the Selection Tool, changing the Selection type to Rectangle. Draw out a horizontal rectangle selection on your tag about 135 pixels wide (see screen shot below for example). Layers/New Raster Layer. Restore the paper12 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Selections/Select None. Apply a drop shadow effect to the rectangle using the settings shown below. Vertical 0; Horizontal 0; Opacity 70; Blur 3
4. With the Selection Tool still set at rectangle, draw a thin rectangle across the top of the pink rectangle (see screen shot below). Restore the paper04 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the paper over the selection and go to Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on the keyboard. Apply the same drop shadow effect to the thin rectangle as used in Step 3. Layers/Duplicate. Position the duplicated rectangle at the bottom of the pink rectangle.
5. Restore the big blooms flower and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize the flower to desired size and apply a drop shadow effect using the same settings as used in Step 3. Position the flower at the top left corner of the pink rectangle (see header tag). Layers/Duplicate. Position the duplicated flower at the bottom right corner of the pink rectangle. 6. Restore the big blooms tag and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize the big blooms tag by 85% and position the strings under the bottom thin strip as shown in the header tag. 7. Activate the Selection Tool (Circle, Feather 0) and draw out a circle under the top right corner of your tag (see header tag). Restore the paper08 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Selections/Select None. Apply a drop shadow effect to the circle using the same steps as using in Step 3 EXCEPT change the blur to 5. Layers/Duplicate. Image/Mirror. Image/Flip. 8. Activate the Selection Tool (Rectangle, Feather 0) and draw out a thin rectangle strip across the center of the top circle (see header tag). Restore the paper01 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the paper over the selection and go to Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key. Selections/Select None. Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 3. Layers/Duplicate. Image/Mirror. Position the duplicated strip on the circle at the lower left corner. 9. Restore the big blooms floral border and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the border on the right side of your tag as shown in the header tag. The top part of this border will go under the top circle as shown in the header tag. Layers/Duplicate. Image/Mirror. Position this border on the left side of the tag, with the bottom part of the border going under the circle. 10. Add your tube to your tag, resizing the tube if needed. Position the tube as shown in the header tag, and apply a drop shadow effect to the tube using the same settings as in Step 3 EXCEPT change the blur to 10. Add your text or watermark to your tag. Layers/New Raster Layer. Flood fill this layer with the color #FFFFFF. Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom. Apply some brush effects to your circles. Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). 11. Crop away any excess white space around your tag, and resize your tag if needed. Save your tag in desired format.
