Tube by Hallan Moulin; Scrap Kit by Fantasy Moments

This tutorial was created on October 28, 2009 and is the property of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie.  Please do not remove any of my tutorials from my website to add to another website unless you have permission from me to do so.  This tutorial was created using Psp vs 8 but I see no reason why it cannot be created using other versions of Psp.

A BIG thank you to Hallan Moulin for letting us create with her tubes.  I absolutely love this tube.

FOR THIS TUTORIAL YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING:

Paint Shop Pro (trial version)

Whisper My Name Scrap by Fantasy Moments here

Brushes and font of choice

~ Okay, let's get started on our tag ~

1.  Open your supplies in Psp and minimize to your Psp workspace for now.  File/New.  Create a new image 700w x 700h white background.  Activate the Selection Tool (Circle, Feather 0, Anti-alias) and draw out a medium to large sized circle on your new image.  Restore the wmn_paper21 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the new image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Make sure that the paper is positioned over the circle selection.  Selections/Invert.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Selections/Invert.  Do NOT deselect.

2.  Selections/Modify/Contract by 8 pixels.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Do NOT deselect.  Restore the wmn_paper20 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Selections/Invert.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Selections/Select None.  Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the top layer (blue circle) using the settings shown below.  I applied the drop shadow effect two times.

Vertical 0; Horizontal 0; Opacity 85; Blur 5; Color Black

3.  Activate the bottom circle and apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 2.  Drag the top circle layer (blue) beneath the bottom circle layer.  Change the foreground/stroke box from Colors to Pattern.  Select the paper20 as the current pattern (Angle 0 Scale 65).  Change the background/fill box from Colors to Pattern.  Select the paper21 as the current pattern (Angle 0 Scale 65).

4.  Activate the Text Tool and select the Carr Electronic Dingbats as your font using the settings shown below.

Size 475; Stroke width 4; Vector

Click on the tag image and when the text entry box pops up, type in the capital letter"y".  Objects/Align/Center in Canvas.  Pull out the vector boxes on both ends of the dingbat so that the ends will extend past the circle.  Layers/Convert to Raster Layer.  Apply the same drop shadow effect to the dingbat as used in Step 2.  Layers/Duplicate.  Image/mirror.  Move the top dingbat over so that the bottom parts of the top dingbat is over the bottom part of the bottom dingbat.

5.  Restore the wmn_element67 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the flower by 50% for a total of two (2) times.  Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the flower using the same settings as used in Step 2.  Layers/Duplicate.  Image/Flip.  Restore the wmn_element66 and follow the same instructions as listed for the element67 EXCEPT after you resize the flower by 50% for a total of two (2) times, resize the flower once more at 75%.  Position the flower on top of the pink flower as shown in header tag.

6.  Restore the tube that you will be using for your tag.  Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Mirror (optional).  Resize your tube if needed.  Drag this tube layer below the flower layers (see header tag).  Apply the same drop shadow effect used in Step 2 EXCEPT change the blur to 8.

7.  Restore the element6 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the tag element by 75%.  Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Image/Mirror.  Position the tag as shown in the header tag  or in desired position.  I placed mine between the rim part of the circle and the blue fill part of the circle.  I then erased some of the end part of the ribbon.  Apply the same drop shadow effect as in Step 2 to the tag element.  I applied the drop shadow effect two times.

8.  Restore the element77 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the element77 by 50% for a total of two (2) times and by 75% one (1) time.  Position the element 77 as desired on your tag.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the element using the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 2.  Activate the white background layer and go to Layers/New Raster Layer.  Add brush effects to your background as desired.  X out (hide) the white background.  Activate one of your other layers and go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.  Image/Resize.  Resize the merged visible part of the tag by 85%.  Resize all layers is not checked; bicubic resize type is used.

9.  Add your watermark or copyright information to your tag.  Add some text of choice to the tag element.  Write your name on your tag and position as desired.   I used the font Relativity for my name on my tag.  Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten).  Delete all excess white space from around your tag.  Resize your tag if needed, and save in desired format.
