Emotion Scrap Kit by Fantasy Moments; Tube by Amberly Berendson

 

This tutorial was created on August 20, 2009 and is the creation of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie.  Please do not remove my tutorials from my website to add to another website unless you have permission from me to do so.  This tutorial was created using Psp vs 8 but can be created using other versions of Psp.  A big thanks to Amberly Berendson for allowing the Psp community to use her lovely artwork in our creating.

~Okay, let's get started on our tag~

1.  Open your supplies in Psp and minimize to your Psp workspace for now.  File/New.  Create a new image 700W x 700h white background.  Change the foreground/stroke color to Pattern and select the paper1 (Angle 0; Scale 100).  Change the background/fill color to Pattern and select the paper3 (Angle 0; Scale 50).

2.  Activate the Text Tool and select the ZX-7 Secret Space dingbat; Size 450; Stroke Width 4; Vector; Anti-alias.  Type the lower case "q" on your new image.  Objects/Align/Center in Canvas.  Layers/Convert to Raster Layer.  Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the settings shown below.  Repeat the drop shadow effect using -2 for the vertical and -1 for the horizontal settings.

Vertical 2; Horizontal 1; Opacity 85; Blur 6; Color Black

3.  Image/Canvas Size/  Change the width and the height of the tag to 750.  Click on the center placement arrow.  Restore the tube you will be using for your tag.  Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Resize your tube if needed.  Apply a drop shadow effect to your tube using the settings shown below.

Vertical 0; Horizontal 1; Opacity 85; Blur 10; Color Black

                   

4.  Position the tube as shown in header tag, or in desired position.  Restore the element31 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the element by 55% for a total of two (2) times and by 75% one (1) time.  Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 2.  Position the element at the long end of the rectangle on the right side of the tag (see header tag).

5.  Restore the element65 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the element by 55% for a total of two (2) times.  Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Position the element65 on the middle circle at the bottom of the tag (see header tag).  Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 2. 

6.  Restore the element53 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the element53 by 55% for a total of two (2) times and by 75% one (1) time.  Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Position the bow on top of the first circle at the bottom of the tag (see header tag).  Apply the same settings as used in Step 2 EXCEPT do not add the minus settings.  Layers/Duplicate.  Image/Mirror. 

7.  Restore the element21 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the element21 by 55% for a total of two (2) times and by 75% one (1) time.  Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Position the element at the top of the strip at the top of the tag image (see header tag).  Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 2 EXCEPT omit the minus settings.

8.  Activate the Pen Tool using the small dash line type, Size 3 width, Create as vector.  Using the paper1, draw a dashed line between the first two circles.  Layers/Convert To Raster Layer.  Layers/Duplicate.  Image/Mirror.  Using the same settings, draw out a line in the middle of the long rectangle.  Layers/Convert To Raster Layer.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the line if desired (see header tag).

9.  Restore the element5 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the element5 by 55% for a total of two (2) times and by 75% one (1) time.  Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the element using the same settings as used in Step 2 EXCEPT omit the minus settings.  Apply any brush effect to your tag that you wish.

10.  Restore the element59 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the element by 55% one (1) time and by 75% one (1) time.  Position the hanging heart so that it looks like it is hanging from the stitch.  Apply a drop shadow to the heart using the same settings as used in Step 2.  Layers/Duplicate.  Image/Mirror.  Add your name or watermark to your tag.  I used the font Battle Lines, Size 76, Stroke width 2, Vector, Anti-alias.  For the stroke color, I used color #CA0BCA; for the text fill I used the paper3. 

11.  Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten).  Crop away any excess white space around your tag.  Resize your tag if needed, and save in desire format.
