Tube, brushes and font of choice

Okay, let's start on our tag!

1.  Open your tube and template in Psp.  Set the foreground/stroke color to #4A4755 and the background/fill color to #DFA961, or select two colors from the tube you will be using.  Minimize the tube to your Psp workspace for now.  With the template being the active image, go to Shift+D to make a duplicate of the template.  Close out the original template so you will have it for future use.

2.  We need to rotate our template, so go to Image/Rotate/Rotate Counterclockwise 90 .  Adjust/Sharpness/Sharpen.  Activate the Raster Layer 2 and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Flood fill the selection with your foreground color.  Selections/Modify/Contract by 3 pixels.  Layers/New Raster Layer.  Flood fill the selection with the background color.  Selections/Modify/Contract by 3 pixels.  Hit the delete key on your keyboard.  Do NOT deselect.  Layers/Merge/Merge Down.  Effects/Artistic Effects/Halftone using the settings shown below.  Selections/Select None.

Gap size 2; Width 5; Opacity 43; Weave color #4A4755; Gap color #DFA961; Fill gaps checked

5.  Selections/Select None.  Apply the same drop shadow effect to this layer as used in Step 3.  Activate Raster Layer 5 and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Flood fill the selections with the foreground color.  Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel using the settings shown below.

Bevel #2; Width 10; Smoothness 8; Depth 3; Ambience 0; Shininess 0; Angle 315; Intensity 44; Elevation 30; Color #FFFFFF

6.  Selections/Select None.  Restore the tube that you will be using on your tag and go to Edit/Copy.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Position the tube as shown in header tag at top of page.  Apply a drop shadow to your tube using the same settings as used in Step 3 EXCEPT change the blur to 10.

7.  Activate the Preset Shape tool and select the arrow16; anti-alias; create as vector; line style solid;     width 2.  If you don't have the arrow16 shape, just use the rectangle shape or a shape of your choice.  Draw out an arrow or rectangle shape about the size of the one in the screen shot below.  Position the arrow at the top right side of the circle as shown below.  Add a drop shadow effect to the arrow using the same settings as used in Step 3 EXCEPT change the blur to 4.  Drag this layer below Raster Layer 4.  Layers/Duplicate.  Move the duplicated arrow to the bottom of the circle as shown in header tag.

8.  Activate Raster Layer 5.  With the Selection tool (rectangle, feather 0) draw a selection around one of the rivets on the layer.  Edit/Copy.  Selections/Select None.  Go to the top arrow layer (Raster layer 7) and go to Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the rivet by 65%.  Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Position the rivet on the top arrow as shown in the header tag.  Layers/Duplicate.  Place the duplicated rivet on the bottom arrow.

9.  Activate the Magic Wand tool (Add/Shift; feather 0) and click in the center of the top rivet (make sure you are on the top rivet layer).  Selections/Modify/Expand by 2 pixels.  Activate the top arrow layer, and hit the delete key on the keyboard.  Do NOT deselect.  Activate Raster Layer 2 and hit the delete key on the keyboard.  Selections/Select None.  Follow these same steps for the bottom rivet.

10.  Apply a drop shadow effect to all the rivets using the same settings as used in Step 3 EXCEPT change the blur to 2.  With a font of choice, write out "I'm a Flirt" and position it on the right side of the tag as shown in header tag above.  Add whatever extra text or brush effects to the tag that you wish.  Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.  Image/Resize.  Resize the tag by 90%; resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Layers/New Raster Layer.  Flood fill this layer with the color #FFFFFF.  Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom.

11.  Layers/New Raster Layer.  This layer should be on top of the white background layer.  Add whatever brush or mask effects that you want for the background of your tag.  Add your text or watermark to your tag.  For my text I used the font Flirt Deco.  Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten).  Crop away any excess white space around your tag.  Resize the tag if needed, and save in desired format.
