For this tutorial you will need the following:

Font and tube of choice

 

1.  Open your template, scrap kit, and the tube you will be using on your tag in Psp.  Minimize the scrap kit and the tube to your Psp workspace, and make the template the active image.  Shift+D to make a copy of the template.  Close out the original template so that you will have it for future use; we will be working with the copy of the template for our tag.  Activate raster layer 2 of the template and go to Layers/Delete.  This is the watermark layer.

2.  I will be starting from the bottom of the template and going up; Activate the "top light grey circle" layer and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the naughtical scrap kit and activate the paper2 layer; Edit/Copy.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection.  Selections/Select None.  Activate the "top medium grey circle" layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the scrap kit and activate the paper3 layer; Edit/Copy.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection.  Selections/Select None.

3.  Activate the "bottom light grey circle" layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the scrap kit and activate the paper5 layer; Edit/Copy.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection.  Selections/Select None.  Activate the "bottom medium grey circle" layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the scrap kit and activate the paper2 layer; Edit/Copy.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection.  Selections/Select None.  Apply a drop shadow effect (Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow) to the four circles using the settings shown below:

Vertical 0; Horizontal 0; Opacity 85; Blur 4; Color Black

 

4.  Activate the "dark grey square" layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the scrap kit and activate the paper4 layer; Edit/Copy.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection.  Selections/Select None.  Apply the same drop shadow effect to the rectangle as used in Step 3.  Activate the "1st bottom grey bar" layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the scrap kit and activate the paper6 layer; Edit/Copy.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection.  Apply the same drop shadow effect to the bar as used in Step 3.

5.  Activate the "3rd top grey bar" layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  The paper6 should still be copied on your clipboard; Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection.  Selections/Select None.  Apply same drop shadow as used in Step 3.  Activate the "2nd bottom grey bar" layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the scrap kit and activate the paper2 layer; Edit/Copy.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection.  Selections/Select None.  Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 3.

6.  Activate the "2nd top grey bar" of the template and follow the same steps as used in Step 5 for the "2nd bottom grey bar".  Activate the "3rd bottom grey bar" layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat.  Restore the scrap kit and activate the paper6 layer.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection.  Selections/Select None.  Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 3.  Activate the "1st top grey bar" layer of the template and follow the same steps as used with the "3rd bottom grey bar" at the beginning of Step 6.

7.  Restore the scrap kit and activate the "stripe ribbon layer"; Edit/ Copy.  Back to the tag; activate the dark grey square layer of the template and go to Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the ribbon by 70%; resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the ribbon using the same settings as used in Step 3.  Position the ribbon as shown in the screen shot below.

8.  Restore the scrap kit and activate the "messuppendient" layer; Edit/Copy.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the pendant by 50% one (1) time and by 90% one (1) time.  Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the pendant using the same settings as used in Step 3.  Position the pendant on the left side of the tag as shown on the header tag at the top of the page.  The pendant layer should be below the striped ribbon layer.

9.  Image/Canvas Size.  Change the width of your tag to 600w and the height to 550h; click once on the center arrow.  Click on raster layer1 and flood fill with the color white (#FFFFFF).  Restore the tube that you will be using for your tag and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Resize your tube if needed.  Apply a drop shadow effect to your tube using the same settings as in Step 3 EXCEPT change the blur to 12.  Position the tube as seen in header tag at top of page.

10.  Restore the scrap kit and activate the "diblubutton" layer; Edit/Copy.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the button by 50% for a total of two (2) times and by 90% for a total of one (1) time.  Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the button using the same settings as used in Step 3 EXCEPT change the blur to 3.  Position the button at the left side of the striped ribbon (see header tag).    Layers/Duplicate.  Position the duplicated button at the right end of the thin blue bar at the bottom of the tag (see header tag).

11.  Restore the scrap kit and activate the "offwhitedisstaples" layer; Edit/Copy.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Draw a selection around the single staple at the top and hit the delete key on your keyboard.  We will be using the double staples at the bottom of the layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the staples by 55%.  Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Position the staples as shown in the header tag above.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the staples using the same settings as used in Step 10.

12.  Restore the scrap kit and activate the "bowzdistripe" layer; Edit/Copy.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the bow by 50% one (1) time and by 75% one (1) time.  Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the bow using the same settings as in Step 3 EXCEPT change the blur to 5.  Position the bow on the bottom grey bar at the top of the tag (see header tag).  Back to the scrap kit and activate the "diblubutton" layer; Edit/Copy.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Resize.  Resize the button one (1) time by 50% and one (1) time by 65%.  Resize all layer is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the button using the same settings as used in Step 3.  Position the button on the striped bow as shown in header tag.

13.  Restore the scrap kit and activate the "3 diamonds" layer.  Draw a selection around the square diamond (or diamond of choice)  and go to Edit/Copy.  Selections/Select None.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the diamond by 50% and position it on the center of the button that is on the bow.  Restore the scrap kit and activate the "floewrzagin" layer; Edit/Copy.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Resize the flower one (1) time by 50% and one (1) time by 85%.  Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Position the flower on the yellow and blue checked circle as shown in the header tag at top of page.  Apply a drop shadow effect using the same settings as used in Step 3. 

14.  Restore the scrap kit and activate the "everythingbutter" layer; Edit/Copy.  Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer.  Image/Mirror.  Resize the butterfly by 50% one (1) time and by 65% one (1) time.  Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used.  Apply a drop shadow effect to the butterfly using the same settings as used in Step 3.  Position the butterfly on the bottom blue circle as shown in header tag at top of page.  Apply text of choice in blue circle as shown in header tag.

15.  Add your watermark or text to your tag.  For my name I used the following settings:

Font Holmes; Size 82; Stroke width 1; Vector; Anti-alias

I used paper2 for the stroke width and paper3 for the text fill.

16.  Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten).   Crop away any excess white space around your tag.  Resize your tag if needed and save in desired format.
