Cowgirl tube by Colombe; Cowboy tube by Nikita; Scrap kit by Jaelop This tutorial is written for MQ and Serena; here you go Ladies :) This tutorial was written on May 15, 2009 and is the property of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie. Please do not remove this tutorial, in whole or in part, from my site to add to another site unless you have been given permission to do so. This tutorial was created in Psp vs 9, but I see no reason why it cannot be created in other versions of Psp. FOR THIS TUTORIAL YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING: Paint Shop Pro (trial version) Romantic and Romantic 2 Scrap Kits by Jaelop here Male and Female tube Font of choice
Okay, let's get started on our tag! 1. Open your supplies in Psp and minimize to your Psp workspace for now. You will need Papers 2 & 3 and tubes 17 & 31 from the Romantic Kit. You will Papers 5 & 6 and wordart1 from the Romantic Kit 2. File/New. Create a new image 550w x 550h transparent background. Selections/Select All. Restore the paper 3 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the new image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Selections/Select None. 2. Set the foreground/stroke color to #350A0D and the background/fill color to Pattern. Select the paper 6 as your current pattern. Angle 0; Scale 100
3. Activate the Rectangle tool (Create as Vector; Line Style Solid; Width 3) and draw a rectangle as shown in the screen shot below. I started at 245;30 and drew my rectangle out and down to 305,520.
4. Layers/Convert to Raster Layer. Null out the foreground color; draw a rectangle starting at 40,75 and over and down to 215; 475. Layers/Convert to Raster Layer. Layers/Duplicate. Image/Mirror. Activate the first rectangle (on the left side of tag) and go to Selections/Select All. Selections/Float. Selections/Defloat. Selections/Modify/Contract by 4 pixels. Restore the paper2 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Do NOT deselect. Restore the female tube that you are going to use for your tag and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the tube in the selected rectangle and position as desired. Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on your keyboard. Selections/Select None. Layers/Merge/Merge Down. 5. Repeat the same steps as listed above in Step 4 for the duplicated rectangle on the right side of the tag. You will be using your male tube for this rectangle. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow. Apply a drop shadow effect to all three of the rectangles using the settings shown below. Vertical 0; Horizontal 0; Opacity 85; Blur 7; Color Black
6. Restore the wordart1 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the wordart by 50% for a total of four (4) times. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the text under the frame with the cowgirl. Layers/Duplicate. Layers/Merge/Merge Down. Layers/Duplicate. Position the duplicated wordart over the frame with the cowboy as shown in the header tag at the top of the page. 7. Restore the hanging heart (#17) and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize the hanging heart by 50% for a total of five (5) times. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the heart on the top left corner of the framed female tube. Apply a drop shadow effect to the heart using the same settings as used in Step 5 EXCEPT change the blur to 4. 8. Restore the rope tube (#31) and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the rope by 50% for a total of two (2) times and by 65% one (1) time. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the rope at the top of the tag as shown in the screen shot below. Using the Eraser tool, erase the part of the rope that is hanging inside the frame of the cowboy. Layers/Duplicate. Image/Flip.
9. With a font of your choice, write out "The Lady" and position the text at the top of the tag above the framed cowgirl. I used the font ReneLouis, and paper 5 for the fill. Apply a drop shadow effect of your choice to the text. Write out "The Cowboy", apply a drop shadow to the text, and position the text at the bottom of the tag under the framed cowboy (see header tag). Type out your name with font of choice, rotate your name by 90 degrees to the left, and position it on the narrow strip between the frames. Apply a drop shadow of choice to the text. I used the font Birmingham for my text, and paper 5 for the text stroke; paper 2 was used for the text fill. 10. Layers/Merge/Merge Visible. Image/Canvas Size. Change the width and the height of the tag to 650. Click once on the center arrow.
11. Image/Resize. Resize the tag by 95%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Apply a drop shadow effect to the tag using the same settings as used in Step 5. Set the foreground/stroke color to #350A0D and the background/fill color to Pattern. Select the paper 6 as the current pattern. Set the angle to 0 and the scale to 25. Layers/New Raster Layer. Activate the Selection tool (circle, feather 0, anti-alias). Position the cursor in the center of the tag (325,325) and draw out a circle that is a little bit bigger than the tag (see header tag for how I did my circle). Flood fill the selection with the foreground color. Selections/Modify/Contract by 3 pixels. Flood fill this area with the background pattern. Selections/Select None. Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom. Apply a drop shadow effect to the circle using the same settings as used in Step 5. 12. Layers/New Raster Layer. Flood fill this layer with the color #FFFFFF (white). Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom. Layers/New Raster Layer. Apply some brush effects to this layer (I used a dark grey color). Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Resize your tag if needed; save in desired format.
