Pretty Denim Scrap by Cinnamon Scraps; Carr Electronic Dingbats; Tube by Sharlimar This tutorial was created on August 16, 2009 and is the creation of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie. Please do not remove this or any of my tutorials from my site to add to another site unless you have permission from me to do so. This tutorial was created using Psp vs 8, but I see no reason why it cannot be created using other versions of Psp. FOR THIS TUTORIAL YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING: Paint Shop Pro (trial version) Pretty Denim Scrap here Carr Electronic Dingbats here Becky Mask 22 (As far as I know, Becky's site is closed. If you do not have this mask, just use a different one for your background Romance Fatal Serif here Tube of choice ~Okay, let's get started on our tag~ 1. Open your supplies in Psp and minimize to your Psp workspace for now. File/New. Create a new image 700w x 700h white background. Set your foreground/stroke color to#36516E. Change the background/fill color to Pattern and select the CS pretty denim paper3 (Angle 0; Scale 100).
2. Activate the Text Tool and select the Carr Electronic Dingbats as your font; Size 500; Vector; Anti-alias; Stroke Width 2. Type in the CAPITAL letter "R" on your new image. Objects/Align/Center in Canvas. Layers/Convert to Raster Layer. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the settings shown below. Vertical 2; Horizontal 1; Opacity 90; Blur 5; Color Black
3. Restore the tube that you will be using for your tag and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize your tube if needed, and position the tube as shown in header tag. Apply a drop shadow effect to your tube using the same settings as used in Step 2. Restore the button2 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the button2 by 85%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the button on the top right side of the tag (see header tag). Apply a drop shadow effect to the button using the same settings as used in Step 2. Layers/Duplicate. Image/Mirror. 4. Restore the tag3 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the tag3 by 60% one (1) time and by 75% one (1) time. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Apply a drop shadow effect to the tag using the same settings as used in Step 2. Position the tag3 layer under the button2 layer on the right side of the tag (see header tag). Restore the word art3 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the word art by 50% one (1) time and by 70% one (1) time. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Apply a drop shadow to the word art using the same settings as Step 2. Position the word art in the circle on the left side of the tag (see header tag). 5. Restore the bow3 and go to Edit/Paste; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the bow3 by 50% one (1) time and by 75% one (1) time. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Apply a drop shadow effect to the bow3 using the same settings as used in Step 2. Position the bow at the top of the circle on the left side you your tag (see header tag). Layers/Duplicate. Image/Mirror. 6. Restore the flower7 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize the flower by 50% one (1) time and by 75% one (1) time. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Apply a drop shadow to the flower using the same settings as used in Step 2. Position the flower on the top bar at the bottom of the dingbat shape (see header tag). Restore the butterfly tube and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize the butterfly at 50% one (1) time and at 65% one (1) time. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Apply a drop shadow to the flower using the same settings as used in Step 2. Position the butterfly next to the flower as shown in the header tag. 7. Restore the stitched flower element and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the stitched flower by 50% for a total of two (2) times and by 75% one (1) time. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the element on the left side of the tag on the circle (see header tag). Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 2. Activate the Selection Tool (circle, feather 0) and draw a small circle in the center of the stitched flower. Flood fill the selection with the color #9C0505. Selections/Select None. Effects/Texture Effects/Weave using the settings shown below. Gap Size 1; Width 2; Opacity 90; Weave Color #1B3251; Gap Color 9C0505; Fill gaps checked
8. Apply a drop shadow effect to the circle using the same settings as used in Step 2. Activate the white background layer. Restore the paper1 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Layers/New Mask Layer/From Image. Select the Becky_Mask022 or whatever mask you are using from the drop box under the Source window. Source luminance is checked; Invert mask data is NOT checked. Layers/Merge/Merge Group. Lower the opacity of the mask layer to 40. 9. Restore the pretty in denim word art and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the word art on your tag as shown in header tag and apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 2. Restore the button2 once again and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the button by 75%. Resize all layers is not checked; bicubic resize type is used. Apply a drop shadow to the button using the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 2. Position the button on the lower bar of the dingbat shape (see header tag). 10. Add your name or watermark to your tag. For my tag I used the font Romance Fatal Serif using the color #9C0505 for the stroke width; for the font fill I used paper13. Apply a drop shadow effect to your name and position the text as shown in header tag, or in desired position. Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Crop away any excess white space around your tag. Resize if needed, and save in desired format.
