Scrap kit by Simply Sweet Designs; Tube by Lila; Mask by Yarrow
This tutorial was created on July 7, 2009 and is the property of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie. Please do not remove this tutorial, in whole or in part, from this site to add to another site unless you have permission from me to do so. This tutorial was created using Psp8, but I see no reason why you cannot use other versions of Psp to created this tag. FOR THIS TUTORIAL YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING: Paint Shop Pro (trial version) Enjoy the Day Scrap here Supplies here Mask07 here Tube and font of choice For this tutorial, I used the solid0 paper, patterned0 paper, patterned1 paper, and solid3 paper. I resized my papers to 760w x 760h. 1. Open your supplies in Psp and minimize them to your Psp workspace for now. File/New. Create a new image 750w x750h white background.
2. Set your foreground color to Pattern and select the solid0 paper Angle 0 Scale 100. Set your background box to Pattern and select the pattern0 paper Angle 0 Scale 75.
3. Activate the Preset Shape Tool and select the arrow6 shape using these settings: Create as Vector; Anti-alias; Line Style Solid; Stroke Width 5. Draw out an arrow shape about the size of the one in the header tag. Layers/Convert to Raster Layer. Image/Rotate/Free Rotate. Rotate the arrow by 90 degrees to the right. Position the arrow at the top of the image (see position in header tag). Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the settings shown below. Vertical 2; Horizontal 0; Opacity 85; Blur 4; Color Black
4. Change the background pattern to the patterned1 paper using the same settings as used before. Activate the Preset Shape Tool and select the arrow18 using the same settings as used before. Draw out the arrow18 (see header tag) and position it on the left side of the image as shown in header tag above. Layers/Convert to Raste Layer. Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 3. 5. Restore the frame and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the frame by 50% for a total of two (2) times. Position the frame on the right side of the tag as shown in header tag. Activate the Selection Tool (rectangle, feather 0) and draw a rectangle selection on the black rectangle part of the frame. Restore the solid3 paper and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the paper3 over the selection and go to Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on the keyboard. Selections/Invert once again. Do NOT deselect. 6. Restore the tube you will be using on your tag and go to Edit/Copy. Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the tube over the selection and go to Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on the keyboard. Selections/Select None. Drag the pink background layer of the frame under the frame layer. Apply a drop shadow effect to both the frame layer and the tube layer using the same settings as used in Step 3 EXCEPT change the blur to 6. 7. Restore the solid3 paper and go to Edit/Copy. Go back to the tag image and activate the white background layer in the layer palette. Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Layers/New Mask Layer/From Image. Select the chequered mask from the drop box under the Source window. Source luminance is checked; invert mask data is NOT checked. Layers/Merge/Merge Group.
8. Restore the flower0 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Layers/Arrange/Bring to Top. Image/Resize. Resize the flower by 50% for a total of two (2) times and 70% for a total of two (2) times. Apply a drop shadow effect to the flower using the same settings as used in Step 3. Position the flower on the top left corner of your frame. 9. Restore the shesgotattitude text1 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the text on the left side of the top arrow (see header tag). Restore the shesgotattitude text2 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag and go to Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the text near the bottom arrow as shown in header tag. Restore the confetti and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position confetti as desire. 10. Add your text or watermark to your tag. Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Crop away any excess white space around your tag. Resize if needed, and save in desired format.
