Scrap Kit by Unleashed Scraps; Tube by DevilsInside; Template by Bel Viddoti This tutorial was written on June 28, 2009 and is the property of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie. Please do not remove this tutorial, in whole or in part, from my site to add to another web site unless you have permission from me to do so. This tutorial was created using Psp version 8, but I see no reason why it cannot be created using other versions of Psp. FOR THIS TUTORIAL YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING: Paint Shop Pro (trial version) Unleashed Star Crazy Scrap Kit here Bel Vidotti's Template24 here (site is closed, so I'm providing the template here) Tube and font of choice
For this tag, you will be using the following papers: paper1, paper2, paper7, and paper9; I resized my papers to 675w x 675h 1. Open your supplies in Psp and minimize all but the template to your Psp workspace. Activate the rec1 layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the paper2 and go to Image/Rotate/Free Rotate. Rotate the paper by 90 degrees to the right.
2. Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the paper over the selection and go to Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on the keyboard. Selections/Select None. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the settings shown below. Vertical 0; Horizontal 0; Opacity 85; Blur 5; Color Black
3. Activate the rec2 layer and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the paper1 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the paper over the selection and go to Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on the keyboard. Selections/Select None. Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 2. 4. Activate the rec3 layer and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the paper7 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the paper over the selection and go to Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on the keyboard. Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 2. 5. Activate the frameback layer and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the paper1 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the paper over the selection and go to Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on the keyboard. Selections/Select None. Activate the frame layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the paper9 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the paper over the selection and go to Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on your keyboard. Selections/Select None. Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 2. 6. Restore your tube that you will be using for your tag and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize your tube if needed. Position your tube on the frame as shown in the header tag at the top of the page. Apply a drop shadow effect using the same settings as used in Step 2 EXCEPT change the blur to 10. Restore the star1 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the star by 50% for a total of two (2) times and by 75% for a total of one (1) time. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the star on the left end of the top rectangle (see header tag). Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 2. 7. Restore the ribbon1 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the ribbon by 50% one (1) time and by 80% one (1) time. Position the ribbon on the middle blue rectangle as shown in header tag. Drag the ribbon layer beneath the framebkg layer. Apply a drop shadow effect to the ribbon using the same settings as used in Step 2 EXCEPT change the vertical and horizontal settings to 1. Restore the startag3 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the star tag by 50% for a total of two (2) times and by 65% one (1) time. Resize all layers is not checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the star tag on the bottom rectangle as shown in header tag. Apply a drop shadow effect using the same settings as used in Step 2. 8. Restore the button2 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize the button by 50% for a total of three (3) times and by 65% one (1) time. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Apply a drop shadow effect to the button using the same settings as used in Step 2. Position the button over the string of the star tag (see header tag). Restore the tag2 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the tag by 50% for a total of two (2) times and by 85% one (1) time. Image/Rotate/Free Rotate. Rotate the tag by 10 degrees to the left. Apply a drop shadow effect using the same settings as used in Step 2. Position the tag on the top right side of the frame as shown on header tag.
9. Restore the star4 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the star4 by 50% for a total of three (3) times. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the star on the top right corner of the frame; place the star over the ribbon of the tag. Apply a drop shadow effect to the star using the same settings as used in Step 2. Restore the splatter2 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the splatter by 50%. Resize all layers is not checked. Position the blue splatter under the top rectangle as shown in header tag. 10. Restore the splatter1 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the splatter by 50%. Resize all layers is NOT checked. Position the brown splatter under the bottom rectangle as shown in header tag. Add your name and any brush effects that you wish to add to your tag. 11. Optional: I wrote Star Crazy on my tag using the font Relativity size 30. I used paper7 for the fill and paper8 for the text outline. Layers/New Raster Layer. Flood fill this layer with the color #FFFFFF. Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom. Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Crop away any excess white space around your tag. Resize your tag if needed and save in desired format.
