Tube by Terry; Scrap Kit by Tony's Mama Designs; Template by Missy
This tutorial was created on June 12, 2009 and is the property of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie. Please do not remove any part of this tutorial from my website to add to another website unless you have permission from me to do so. This tutorial was created using Psp vs 9, but I see no reason why it cannot be created using other versions of Psp. FOR THIS TUTORIAL YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING: Paint Shop Pro (trial version) Template #228 here Sunlit Garden Scrap here Tube and graphic of choice
Okay, let's get started on our tag! For this tutorial you will need to resize the following papers to 700W x 770h: Solidbkg1; patternbkg1; patternbkg2; patternbkg5; solidbkg5; AO-bkg 1. Open your supplies in Psp and minimize all but the template to your Psp workspace. Delete the top credit layer from your template. Activate the dot/dash circle layer of the template. Selections/Select All. Selections/Float. Selections/Defloat. Restore the solidbkg5 and go to Edit/Copy. Back to the template image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Selections/Select None. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the settings shown below. Vertical 1; Horizontal 1; Opacity 65; Blur 4; Color Black
2. Activate the circle layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All. Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the AObkg paper and go to Edit/Copy. Back to the template image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Selections/Select None. Apply a drop shadow effect to the circle using the settings shown below. Vertical 1; Horizontal 0; Opacity 70; Blur 7
3. Activate the frame1bkg layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All. Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the solidbkg1 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Selections/Select None. Activate the frame1 layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All. Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the patternbkg1 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 2. Selections/Select None. 4. Activate the frame2bkg layer and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the patternbkg5 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Do NOT deselect. Restore your tube that you will be using on your tag and go to Edit/Copy. Back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize your tube if needed. Position the tube over the selected area and go to Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on the keyboard. Selections/Select None. 5. Activate the frame2 layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All. Selections/Float. Selections/Defloat. Restore the patternbkg1 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Apply a drop shadow effect using the same settings as used in Step 2. Selections/Select None. 6. Activate the word art layer of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the patternbkg2 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the paper over the selected word art and go to Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on the keyboard. Selections/Select None. Apply the same drop shadow effects as used in Step 2 EXCEPT change the blur to 4. I applied the drop shadow effect two (2) times. 7. Restore the belt tube and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the belt by 50% for a total of three (3) times and by 60% for a total of one (1) time. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the belt on top of the frame 1. Apply the same drop shadow effect as in Step 2 EXCEPT change the blur to 4. Image/Rotate. Rotate the belt by 5 degrees to the right. Drag the belt layer under the frame 1 layer. Erase away any excess parts of the belt that are sticking out of the sides of the frame (see header tag for how belt should be placed).
8. Restore the male graphic that you will be using. Image/Add Borders. Add a 3 pixel border to the graphic using the color #FFFFFF. Edit/Copy; back to the template image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize your graphic if needed. Rotate the graphic by 15 degrees to the right. Apply a drop shadow effect to the graphic using the same effect as used in Step 2. Drag the graphic layer below the belt layer (see header tag). 9. Restore the plastictag1 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the tag by 50% for a total of 3 times and by 65% for a total of 1 time. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Image/Rotate. Rotate the tag by 8 degrees to the left. Add a drop shadow effect to the tag using the same settings as used in Step 2 EXCEPT change the blur to 4. Position the tag on the top left corner of the frame 2. 10. Restore the shaker button and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize the button by 50% for a total of four (4) times and by 75% one (1) time. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the button on top of the tag (see header tag) on the top left corner of the frame 2. Apply a drop shadow effect using the same settings as used in Step 2 EXCEPT change the blur to 4. Layers/Duplicate. Position the duplicated button the the bottom right corner of frame 1. 11. Restore the beads image and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize the beaded flower to desired size and position on the bottom left corner of your graphic. Apply a drop shadow effect using the same settings as used in Step 10. Add your name of the tag that is at the top corner of the frame 2. 11. Activate the bottom layer of the layer palette; Layers/New Raster Layer. Flood fill this layer with the color #FFFFFF. Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom. Layers/New Raster Layer. Apply brush effects to your tag if desired. Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Crop away any excess white space around your tag. Resize your tag if needed, and save in desired format.
