Scrap by Bel Vidotti; Template by Purely Pixels; Tube by Magie
This tutorial was created on June 23, 2009 and is the sole property of It's Me Again Tuts by Bonnie. Please do not remove this tutorial, in whole or in part, from my site to add to another website unless you have permission from me to do so. This tutorial was created using Psp vs 8, but I see no reason why it cannot be created using other versions of Psp. NOTE: Since I wrote this tutorial, Bel Vidotti' has closed her site. I'm so sad that she has done this, she had such beautiful creations. So if you don't have the Moon Child Scrap, you will have to use a different one.
FOR THIS TUTORIAL YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING: Paint Shop Pro (trial version) Bel Vidotti's Moon Child Scrap here (click on Tagger Size on right side of page) Template18 here (click on Templates on right side of page) Wishing on a Star WordArt5 here (download WordArt 1-14) Journaling text here Tube, font, brushes of choice Okay, let's get started on our tag!! 1. Open your supplies in Psp and minimize all but the template to your Psp workspace for now. Resize the template (Image/Resize) to 720w x 720h. Resize all layers IS checked; bicubic resize type is used. Activate layer1 of the template. Selections/Select All. Restore the paper2 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Selections/Select None. 2. Activate layer5 of the template. Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the paper09 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the paper09 by 75%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the paper over the selection and go to Selections/Invert. Hit the delete Key on the keyboard. Selections/Select None. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the settings shown below. Vertical 0; Horizontal 0; Opacity 80; Blur 7; Color Black
3. Activate layer4 of the template. Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the paper06 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the paper by 75%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the paper over the selection and go to Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on the keyboard. Selections/Select None. Apply a drop shadow selection using the same settings as used in Step 2 EXCEPT change the blur to 4. 4. Activate layer2 of the template. Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the paper01 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the paper over the selection and go to Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on the keyboard. Do NOT deselect. Selections/Invert. Selections/Modify/Contract by 6 pixels. Do NOT deselect. 5. Restore the paper16 and go to Edit/Copy. Back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the paper16 by 75%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the paper over the selection. Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on your keyboard. Selections/Invert. Do NOT deselect. Restore the face tube that you will be using and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the tube over the selection.; Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on the keyboard.. Selections/Select None. Apply a drop shadow effect to the frame using the same settings as used in Step 2. 6. Restore the main tube that you will be using on your tag and go to Edit/Copy. Back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer (be sure to delete the title layer). Resize your tube if needed, and position the tube as shown on the header tag at top of the page. Apply a drop shadow effect to the tube using the same settings as used in Step 2 EXCEPT change the blur to 10. 7. Activate layer3 of the template and go to Selections/Select All; Selections/Float; Selections/Defloat. Restore the paper15 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize the paper by 75%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the paper over the selection and go to Selections/Invert. Hit the delete key on the keyboard. Selections/Select None. Apply the same drop shadow effect as used in Step 2. 8. Restore the wordart5 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the wordart by 75% for a total of two (2) times. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the wordart as shown in header tag. Delete the journaling layer of the template. Restore the wishuponastar text and go to Edit/Copy. Back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Position the text as shown in the screen shot below. Lower the opacity of the text to 46.
9. Restore the star01 and go to Edit/Copy. Back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize the star to desired size and position as shown on header tag at top of page. Apply the same drop shadow effects as used in Step 2. Restore the flower03 and go to Edit/Copy. Back to the template and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the flower by 50% for a total of two (2) times. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the flower on the right top corner of the frame. Apply the same drop shadow effects as used in Step 2. 10. Layers/Merge/Merge Visible. Image/Resize. Resize the tag by 85%; resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Apply a drop shadow effect to the tag using the same settings as used in Step 2. Restore the paper09 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the paper09 by 70%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Image/Rotate/Free Rotate. Rotate the paper by 20 degrees to the left. Drag this layer under the tag layer.
11. We need to add some more space to work with around our tag, so go to Image/Canvas Size and change the width and height of the tag to 775. Click on the center arrow as shown below.
12. Apply a drop shadow effect to the rotated paper09 using the same settings as used in Step 2. Restore the paper03 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize the paper03 by 70%. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Image/Rotate/Free Rotate. Rotate the paper by 20 degrees to the right. Apply a drop shadow effect to the paper using the same settings as used in Step 2. Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom. 13. Layers/New Raster Layer. Flood fill this layer with the color #FFFFFF. Layers/New Raster Layer. Add any brush effects on this layer. Restore the flower01 and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Resize the flower one (1) time by 55% and one (1) time by 65%. Resize all layers is not checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position the flower at the top right corner of the scrap (see header tag). Restore the moon child tag and go to Edit/Copy; back to the tag image and Edit/Paste/Paste As New Layer. Image/Resize. Resize the moon child tag by 80% one (1) time and by 75% one (1) time. Resize all layers is NOT checked; bicubic resize type is used. Position this tag under the top merged tag as shown in the header tag at top of the page. Apply a drop shadow effect using the same settings as used in Step 2. 14. Add your text or watermark to your tag. Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Crop away any excess white space around your tag. Resize your tag if needed, and save in desired format.
